Can GIR collect online payment from the Consignee on my behalf?

Yes. The consignor or consignee or any third party whose name is on the consignment note & have its email registered with GIR can use the online payment section in MY Consignment in website and make online payment against that consingnnet note via a secure gateway.

How to get exact information about my consignment?

You may track your consignment in tracking facility in My Consignment Section on website.For further assistance you may contact customer care.

Do GIR accepts all type of goods for carriage.

No. GIR does not carry goods like Dangerous and Hazardous ,Precious cargo ,live stock, any contraband/illegal material, and/or goods NOT insured comprehensively for transit risk. Full details are available in terms & conditons published in customer care section of the website.

what is the liability of GIR in case of any accident or mishap.

All the goods are accepted by GIR under limited libaility as per Carrier act. The client can insure its goods for transit risk by paying premium or extra charges to underwriters or GIR. Full details are available in terms & conditons published in customer care section of the website.
